Tutorial #1: Open SWAT Project
Open ArcSWAT, QSWAT, MWSWAT, or manually structured projects.
Most SWAT users create their models with ArcSWAT, QSWAT, or MWSWAT. Projects created by these tools can be opened directly in SWAT Output Viewer. Projects created with other tools can also be opened after arranging them in the expected folder structure.
This video explains how to open each supported project type. Use the chapter links to jump directly to the relevant section:
ArcSWAT
Open the ArcSWAT project folder that contains the project database and its watershed and scenario folders.
QSWAT
Open the QSWAT project folder. SWAT Output Viewer recognizes the QSWAT naming conventions for watershed shapefiles.
MWSWAT
Open the MWSWAT project folder. The viewer accounts for the differences between MWSWAT and QSWAT project structures.
Other Tools
Models created with other tools must use the same folder structure expected by ArcSWAT and QSWAT: model input files under the scenario folder and watershed shapefiles under Watershed/Shapes.
